Fillable PDF forms that could be saved are not merely another format of your current business forms. Adobe forms provide far more functionality than business forms created with word processors, or worse, with spreadsheets. Those programs were not designed for forms creation and are therefore not as versatile as fillable PDF forms. For example, the Acrobat form below (simplified from the original
version) integrates evaluation scores that the dry, word processor version lacked. That means the form filler no longer has to print it to complete by hand, and after the form is received, no time is wasted to manually add up the scores.
